Herford woman slightly injured in accident

(jd) On Wednesday morning (06.08.), a 49-year-old woman from Herford was driving her Toyota on Stedefreunder Straße in the direction of Brake. At the Stedefreunder Straße / Laarer Straße junction, the traffic lights turned green for her, so the woman drove into the junction area. At the same time, a 41-year-old man from Enger was driving his Skoda on Laarer Straße in the direction of Herford. He also drove into the junction area, although the traffic lights showed a red light for his lane. The two road users then collided at the junction. The 49-year-old was slightly injured in the accident and was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance after being treated on site. The cars sustained property damage of around 12,000 euros.
